Meet the Past ELI Summer Leadership Accelerator Participants
The ELI Summer Leadership Accelerator offers students a developmental summer experience that includes an internship placement involving a high level of responsibility and accountability, a financial stipend, and active personal coaching and support. Most students are matched with ELI alumni as internship hosts, whereas some students solidify their own placement opportunities but participate fully in the ELI coaching program.
Mia Wise – Entasso – Durham, NC
Mia Wise interned with the Durham startup Entasso. Entasso is a web-based talent marketing platform that links a pool of applicants with potential employers, via a dynamic multimedia skill profile. Mia worked directly with ELI Alum and Entasso’s CEO and Co-Founder, Alison Dorsey.

Hilary Landa – Sustained Dialogue Campus Network – Washington DC
Hilary worked in Washington D.C. at Sustained Dialogue Campus Network, an organization that strives to develop leaders who engage differences as strengths to improve campuses, workplaces, and communities through dialogue. Hilary worked alongside ELI Alum and SDCN’s Executive Director, Amy Lazarus.

Steve Kane – Microsoft- Redmond, Washington
Steve interned at Microsoft within their OEM Marketing Group, and he conducted an independent project related to airport retail.

Kevin Hedrick – Turning the Page – Washington, D.C.
Kevin worked with Turning the Page in Washington, DC to increase local community involvement in education. Kevin’s alumni host was Jason King, Turning the Page’s Founder and current Executive Director.
Jamie Patrick – WAVA, LLC – Monrovia, Liberia
Jamie spent his summer and following school year working in northern Liberia with the WAVA, a socially-geared company that he co-founded to invest in West African farmers. Jamie worked with co-founder Michael Bernert, a former ELI TA and recipient of the ELI Social Entrepreneurship Year-To-Launch Award.

Lauren Gonzalez – Students of the World – Austin, TX
Lauren interned with Students of the World, a nonprofit in Austin, TX that empowers students to create films and media strategy for inspiring social causes and organizations. Lauren partnered with ELI Alum and current Director of Students of the World, Courtney Spence.
Grady Lenkin – Janalakshmi – Bangalore, India
Grady worked in Bangalore, India for the financial services provider Janalakshmi. He conducted research on how best to serve the members of the city's "new" slums.

Lyndsay Kerwin – Ari Medoff – Durham, NC
Lyndsay worked with Ari Medoff, an ELI Alum in the process of relocating to Durham, NC. Lyndsay assisted Ari in researching business acquisition opportunities in the Triangle area that fit Ari’s needs and interests in becoming a small business owner.
Jacob Hanger – International Detention Coalition (IDC) – Mexico City, Mexico
Jacob interned at the International Detention Coalition (IDC) in Mexico City, an organization that conducts research, advocates and provides direct services to and on behalf of refugees, asylum-seekers and migrants along the Central America-Mexico-California corridor.

Stephanie Tsimis – New York, NY
Stephanie worked in New York City for the publicity department of the Penguin Press at the Penguin Publishing Group.

Marc Osian – Coda Leadership Consulting – New York, NY
Marc interned with the Coda Leadership Consulting Firm in New York City, New York. Marc worked directly with ELI Alum and Coda Leadership Principal, Todd Sears.
